What College Students Need to Know About Islam and Sharia

This week, I posted a video of Muslim apostate Nonie Darwish speaking at Hobart and Smith Williams College in
upstate New York. Her topic, Islam and Sharia, was not well received by the politically correct students and faculty.
It is unfortunate that Darwish gets such negative and often disruptive reactions when she appears on college
campuses. Anyone who watches the attached video should be impressed by her life experience and her
presentation.
College kids have been raised to believe that everyone is equal-a noble principle by and of itself. Yet there
contradictions when certain individuals, groups, or cultures demonstrate that they deserve to be criticized. Like
Darwish, I take care not to condemn all Muslims for the horrors that are being perpetrated by other Muslims. Yet,
there is a definite reason why these horrors are being committed.
It is because Allah has mandated it.

Without going into details as I have in the past, here is what college students (and everybody else) need to know
about Islam and Sharia. I will try to reduce it to something similar to bullet points.
Islam is not merely a religion. It is a political ideology with a religious veneer. As such, it is supremacist and
intolerant of other religions. This has been illustrated throughout history and up to the present day.
1/3Islam as a political ideology is not egalitarian. Muslims are superior to non- Muslims and men are superior to
women.
According to Islamic belief, the Koran is the word of Allah as transmitted to the Prophet Mohammad by the
Archangel Gabriel. Thus, the words are indisputable. Approximately 62% of the Koran’s verses concern non-
Muslims. They are not complimentary. Many of the verses mandate death to non-Muslims.
It is important for the non-Muslim to know when reading the Koran that there are many contradictory verses, some being peaceful with others being violent. The Koran is not in chronological order, rather it is by the longest sura
(chapter) to the shortest. The exceptions are sura one and the final couple of suras just before Mohammad’s death.
These suras though supposedly representing Allah’s words, ironically mirror the life of Mohammad, who began his
prophecy peacefully in Mecca before being driven out by the pagan lords. He then relocated with his followers to
Medina, consolidated power there, and then continued his prophesy through war and conquest. In the latter
(Medina) periods, the verses of the Koran become more violent and hate filled. Islamic apologists love to quote the
so-called peaceful words of the Koran as proving to non-Muslims that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance.
However, it is the Islamic scholars through the centuries who have reconciled the contradictory verses through the
principle of abrogation. That simply means that if there are two conflicting verses in the Koran, that revealed to the
Prophet later in time abrogates that revealed earlier in time. It is all quite logical.
It is those words that ISIS and their ilk rely on as they commit their mayhem. Like Mohammad, they not only engage
in combat, they kill non-Muslims, behead captive soldiers, and take women into sexual slavery.
Islamic laws are based on the Koran, and the life, deeds and words of Mohammad as passed down from generation
to generation. They are interpreted by Islamic scholars over the centuries. It is they who are the ultimate authorities
in Islam. There are different Islamic schools of thought, and certain ones for example, “al Bukhari, are considered
the most prestigious and authoritative.
Islamic law is called “Sharia”. Its meaning in Arabic is “the path” (to the water). Sharia is designed to cover virtually
every aspect of a person’s life. There are punishments for violation of these laws. For example, it is forbidden to
criticize Islam, Allah or the Prophet Mohammad. To do so constitutes blasphemy. The penalty for blasphemy is
death. That also applies to non-Muslims. Sharia also mandates death for adultery, homosexuality and apostasy.
That is why Darwish, an apostate who speaks out against Islam, lives with a fatwa over her head. She is literally
under an Islamic death sentence. These penalties, by the way, are affirmed by the above Islamic schools of thought
with few and only slight variations.
It is obvious that any law that mandates death for apostates, blasphemers, adulterers or homosexuality is
inconsistent with our laws and constitution. The same would be said about any free, democratic society. Yet, many
Islamic clerics in the US are trying to convince gullible non-Muslims that Sharia is perfectly compatible with our laws
and constitution. I have heard it myself personally. It leaves one’s mouth agape.

What kind of religion mandates death to those who leave it? That is not a religion; that is a mafia.
If you are a college student and Nonie Darwish comes to speak at your campus, I urge you to attend and listen. Ask
yourself why is she supposedly not a credible messenger. Ask why she is under a death sentence.
These are things you need to know. After all, they are about life and death.

Star Spangled Sharia

Creeping Sharia

Global Creeping Sharia never ends.

Whether in Western nations or in supposed moderate Muslim nations, the spread of sharia continues unabated. And the loss of freedom and democracy is the inevitable result. As Islam continues to conquer by force of arms or stealth jihad, the liberties of the rest of the world continue to shrink.

Cases of this occurring are never ending it seems, and you finish one article on this, only to find new, even more frightening examples of creeping sharia. The capitulation of the Western world to the demands of Islam is hugely worrying, and places like Europe and the UK seem just about gone.

islam 39Consider the latest move in the UK to placate and appease Islam, even if it means snubbing your nose at Englishmen themselves. The headline reflects a growing trend to do everything to accommodate Islam, no matter what the consequences for everyone else: “Subway removes ham and bacon from nearly 200 stores and offers halal meat only after ‘strong demand’ from Muslims”. The story begins this way:

Fast food giant Subway has removed ham and bacon from almost 200 outlets, and switched to halal meat alternatives in an attempt to please its Muslim customers. It has confirmed turkey ham and turkey rashers will be used instead in 185 of its stores, where all the meat will now be prepared according to halal rules.
The chain, which has around 1,500 outlets across the UK, explained its decision by saying it had to balance animal welfare concerns with ‘the views of religious communities’. Nearly 200 Subway branches across the UK and Ireland have cut out ham and bacon, selling only halal meat, in response to demand from their multicultural customers Traditional halal slaughter sees animals have their throats slit before bleeding to death. But Subway stressed that the meat served in its sandwiches would come from animals that have been stunned first, a practice that aims to reduce any suffering.
In Arabic the word halal means ‘permitted’ or ‘lawful’ and defines anything that is allowed or lawful according to the Qur’an. It is often used to indicate food – particularly meat – has been prepared in accordance with Muslim principles and techniques.

There are several things that can be said here. First, critics will say this is no big deal, and that one can always go elsewhere for one’s fav bacon-laced Sub sandwich. But that is missing the point here. If this were the only case of creeping sharia in the UK, we could perhaps all relax. But there are now hundreds, if not thousands, of such cases.

It is the cumulative effect we must be concerned about here. One or two cases is one thing – but many hundreds leads to an avalanche of Islamic supremacy and Western decline. As I have written before, Islam and Western freedoms and values are simply incompatible. Moreover, what about this claim that Subway must consider ‘the views of religious communities’? Really? It seems that only one religious community is being considered here. What about Christianity for example. Even in pagan England I suspect that there are far more Christians than Muslims. What is Subway doing to keep Christians happy?

And what next? Will Subway bow to further Islamic pressure and stop serving altogether during Ramadan? Will it soon remove female employees, or at least cover them in burqas to keep Muslims happy? Will they soon be lying out Islamic prayer mats for any devout Muslim seeking to do his daily religious duties while munching on his Sub sandwich?

But let me turn to a so-called moderate Islamic nation for my second example. This headline is a shocker: “Malaysia: Muslim medical group says Muslim doctors must amputate thieves’ hands”. As an article about this states, “Muslim doctors must fully support Sharia laws, says i-Medik, and that includes amputation of hands for theft, as per the Qur’an: ‘As for the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed as a deterrent from Allah’ (5:38). ”

As the Malay Mail Online says:

The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) has disrespected Muslims and Muslim doctors by threatening to axe doctors who perform amputations under hudud, according to Muslim medical practitioners’ group i-Medik. Muslim doctors have sworn to an Islamic doctor’s oath which also binds them to Islam as a way of life and the implementation of Islamic laws including hudud, it added. “A Muslim doctor performs his task according to the Islamic medical doctor’s oath, which fully supports Islam as a way of life, and this includes fully supporting Shariah laws,” i-Medik chairman Prof Dr Azmi Md Nor said. His message was carried on Islamist group Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia’s (Isma) website. i-Medik is allied to Isma. Dr Azmi did not specify which Islamic oath he was referring to, and how it differs with the Hippocratic Oath taken by all doctors.

While it is heartening to know that the MMA is not too thrilled with the sharia practice of amputation, this is simply one of many examples of where the Islamists are often at war with their own people, and the important question remains: who will prevail?

We see in many places, such as Turkey, where previous moderate Islamic regimes have been replaced by much more radicalised regimes. Those wanting to see full sharia law implemented – whether in the West or in the Muslim world – are working overtime to achieve their goals, and most folks are blissfully unaware of all this.

Indeed, Western ignorance and gullibility is what is the real worry here. We seem blind to the threat that we face. We refuse to believe that a group of committed religionists have vowed never to rest until sharia law extends from north to south, east to west, and the whole world lies under a universal caliphate.

As a former Muslim from Syria Wafa Sultan explains concerning our dire situation:

I have found myself fighting on two fronts. The first front is against Islamists, a daunting fight indeed. But the other front is one shaped by too many uninformed individuals who like to view themselves as open minded “progressives”. They seem to somehow claim superiority on compassion, on peace, on open-mindedness and on appreciation of other cultures. Regarding themselves as tolerant, free thinking individuals, they avoid questioning Muslims’ harmful intentions. They restrict themselves to self-criticism, and make politically-correct excuses for Islamism. Regrettably, they show their indisputable acceptance of “others” at the expense of the public’s responsibility to learn the truth about Islam’s detrimental tenets.

But today it is simply politically incorrect in the West to say anything critical about Islam. As Dennis Prager put it, “At the present time in the Western world, people are free to morally assess and critique any ideology, and to morally assess, critique, or even mock any denomination of Christianity. But any moral assessment of Islam that is not entirely positive is unacceptable.”

To allow ourselves to be silenced here really is to commit national suicide. As Robert Spencer has put it:

The West today faces the threat of stealth jihadists. By using this term, I am not implying that they operate in secret; to the contrary, one of the key characteristics distinguishing them from their violent counterparts is that they carry out their business openly, carefully constructing a facade of moderation. What is stealth about these operatives is their ultimate agenda—they are not seeking to protect Muslim’s ‘civil rights’ from the rampant ‘Islamophobia’ that ostensibly plagues Western societies, as they claim. Rather, they are leading a full-scale effort to transform pluralistic societies into Islamic states, and to sweep away Western notions of legal equality, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, and more.

The two examples featured above are merely the tip of the iceberg. Either we wake up, and wake up real soon, or we will soon find that it is too late to say anything about stealth jihad. The choice is ours.

Christian slapped with $12,000 ‘Shariah fine’ for not removing shoes

Canada is now fining its citizens for offending people of the Islamic faith.

John Alabi, 53, is a Christian and a landlord who lives in the Toronto area and is being ordered to pay a fine of $12,000 by the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal because he failed to remove his shoes when he entered the apartment he was renting to a Muslim couple.

His crime? Religious discrimination, according to the tribunal.

The tenants were planning to move out of his rental home, and he says he gave the couple the required 24-hours notice that he would be showing the apartment to another tenant.

They told him not to come while they were praying, and to text first. He agreed. But when they stopped answering his text messages, he showed the apartment.

Investigating The Muslim Brotherhood

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna, during a period that witnessed a revival of religious fundamentalism and armed combat against Western, and in particular British occupation of the Arabian peninsula. Letter To America

I first became aware of the slow, insidious gains of creeping Sharia
in 1995, sometime after I visited the public library of a large,
provincial English City. The library itself was of an eye­wincing
brutalist design fashionable in post­war Britain. The starkness of
the facade, with its quasi­Stalinesque pretensions, was in itself
perhaps symptomatic of the decline of self­confidence assumed
since the collapse of Britain’s once world­encircling empire. As
Truman’s Secretary of State, Dean Acheson put it in the now
clichéd phrase, “Great Britain has lost an empire and has not yet
found a role.” True, a new optimism was ignited by the ascendency
of 1960s British popular music and youth fashions, but the decline
of empire also ushered in the enlargement of socialist and statist
attempts to reverse the economic decline. These disastrous
intrusions into the economic welfare of the country were put, at
least temporarily, into remission under the leadership of Margaret
Thatcher in the 1980s.

The Muslim Brotherhood Infiltration Of The United States Government

Who Is Checking The Fact Checkers?

Robert Spencer in FrontPage: Snopes Carries Water for Muhammad

​The self ­proclaimed fact ­checker Snopes.com has been harshly criticized for its Leftist bias, and as is so often the case, a tilt to the Left also means a willingness to foster ignorance and complacency about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat. After a billboard went up in Indiana pointing out six unsavory aspects of the life of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, Snopes labeled the billboard’s charges “Mostly False” – but that label applies far more accurately to the Snopes report than to the billboard.
